If you have worked with our dietetic team here at Wallsend Health Hub you would be familiar with our lovely dietitian Aleisha. We wanted to share the exciting news that she is expecting a baby soon and will be going on maternity leave for 12 months from the middle of March. We know that all her clients will miss her, but we can assure you they are in great hands with our other wonderful dietitian Jess.
Jess has been with us for the past year working one day a week and has proven very popular with her current clients. She will be doing extra hours to help follow up Aleisha’s clients and keep up with demand for new clients.
Get to know a little more about Jess below.
Jess is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist living and working in the beautiful Newcastle and Hunter region!
She moved to this area nearly 6 years ago now, originally coming from a small town in north west NSW called Inverell. While Jess absolutely adores the country, she is a coastal girl at heart and has really made Newcastle her home after completing her Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics (Honours) at the University of Newcastle.
Jess believes that true happiness and health is a journey, not a destination! She is an enthusiastic and personable dietitian that promotes a balanced and sustainable approach to food and nutrition. This is one of the many reasons why her clients keep coming back!
Jess enjoys all aspects of dietetics, from general healthy eating, helping people improve their relationship with food, gut health, weight management and chronic disease management. She has also recently completed further training in sports nutrition and can help you to get the most out of your training and exercise.
Jess will be extending her hours on Wednesdays from 8am-5.30pm will also be working Tuesdays 9-5.30pm from end of March to cover Aleisha’s client load while she enjoys time at home with bub.
